BJP is now a sinking ship”: Dhirendra Pratap

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Congress Senior Vice President and Spokesperson Dhirendra Pratap has congratulated the people on the BJP’s crushing defeat in the Datia and Bakapur by-elections, saying that the days of the BJP are over and it has now been reduced to a “sinking ship.”
Congratulating his friend and the King of Datia, Kunwar Ghanshyam Singh, on his victory from Datia, Dhirendra Pratap said he was especially delighted because under the leadership of Jitu Patwari, the Congress has once again hoisted the tricolor with pride in Madhya Pradesh.
He also described the victory of Swaraj Party leader Prashant Kishor in Bihar as a positive sign. He said that an anti-BJP wave is now sweeping through central and northern India, the results of which will be visible in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and other states.
Calling the BJP’s win in Gujarat “insignificant,” he said the people of Gujarat are still under the influence of Modi and it will take some time for their eyes to open. “But the day Gujarat starts taking decisions, the BJP will not be seen anywhere in the country,” he added.
He urged Congress workers in Uttarakhand to sit together, stay united and struggle to take the party forward.
He made a special appeal to the newly appointed district presidents and block presidents to go to the villages. He said that if party workers at the grassroots level do not work with speed, there will be doubts about achieving the expected results and about victory.
