Globally famous world record holder, eminent mountaineer N. Purja dies at 43 with other climbers in an expedition

A very sad, rather tragic news is coming in about a globally famous mountaineer , the 43-year-old British climber of Nepali origin Nirmal Purja who inspired millions with his grit and speed in the world’s highest mountains, of leaving on his eternal journey in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan’s Karakoram range.
Purja was extremely famous across the globe for his outstanding achievements what many thought was impossible.
According to the world record in just six months and six days, Purja climbed all 14 of the world’s all the eight-thousand metres’ peak, a record that redefined endurance and courage in high-altitude climbing.
His journey was captured in the Netflix documentary -14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible – which brought his story of discipline, teamwork and unshakable belief into homes around the world and made him a household name far beyond the mountaineering community.
On Broad Peak, one of the 14 giants he had once conquered, Purja was caught in an avalanche along with several other climbers.
Rescue teams in the Karakoram have confirmed the incident and a search operation is underway to recover the bodies.
From the hills of Nepal to the rooftop of the world, Purja carried the spirit of the Gurkhas he once served with and the dreams of every young climber who dared to look up.
He didn’t just climb mountains, he changed how the world saw what was possible in a single season.
His life was a reminder that limits exist to be tested, that fear can be met with preparation, and that the mountains, while unforgiving, also give us stories that outlive us.
