The furious peasants of Punjab especially a Jatha of 101 kisans have commenced their march towards Delhi via Shambhu border to register their protest towards the central government for not fulfilling their demand for negotiations on their long pending issue of Minimum Suport Prices. This was revealed by the farmers leader of Punjab Swarn Singh Pandher. On Friday the security forces have fired lots of tear gas shells over the protesting farmers at the Delhi – Punjab – Haryana border resulting in injuries to several farmers. This compelled the farmers to call off their protest agitation. The farmers of Punjab and elsewhere have been protesting for several years for the guarantee by the government for minimum support price as well as other genuine demands but those at the helm of affairs are befooling them.

Meanwhile the Haryana police has sent a written communication to Punjab police to keep the mediamen at bay to maintain law and order during these protests.

At Shambhu Border the leader of Punjab farmer Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the protest of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha has entered the 300 th day but despite several protest demonstrations since then and sacrifices of hundreds of farmers the central govt has not heeded to their demands.

He appealed to the farmers of Punjab to oppose the entry of the union transport ministry Nitin Gadkari and Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini in Punjab who are visiting Amritsar in connection with some important work related engagement.

He came down heavily on both the ruling party and the opposition saying that the condition of the farmers in not good even in the states ruled by the INDIA Coalition GOVERNMENTS as well.

He said even in Punjab where the Aam Admi government is in power the condition of farmers is not good.

He catagorically made it clear that we are negotiating with the officials of Punjab govt and that he has not spoken to the Congress leader and leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi till yet. He was responding to the questions of mediamen.

Addressing the media at Shambhu border in Saturday Sarwan Singh Pandher said that 16 farmers have been injured after the Haryana police fired tear gas shells on protesting farmers on Friday. Out of these 16 injured, one of the farmers have lost his power to hear.

All the injured farmers have been released from hospital except four who are under treatment.

Expressing his regret over the dictatorial attitude of the central government Sarwan said that the Modi government doesn’t seem to be in the mood to talk to farmers on their demands.

He said that in view of the government’s non cooperative attitude towards the farmers demands of MSP and other issues the Kisan Samyukta Morcha ( non political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have already decided that a Jatha of 101 farmers will march to Delhi via Shambhu border peacefully in support of their aforesaid demands.

In Khanauri border too another farmers leader Jagjeet Singh Dallewal is undergoing indefinite fast. The situation at the Shambhu border seems to extremely tense as hundreds of policemen and security forces have been deployed there with senior police officers adamant not to allow anyone to cross the border come what may.
