Uttarakhand Lok Manch to protest at Jantar Mantar in 14 th June, 2026 from 10 AM to 2.00 PM to seek justice for chef Keshav Negi
Hundreds of volunteers of Uttarakhand Lok Manch in Delhi under the leadership of its Brijmohan Upreti will be protesting at Jantar Mantar to seek justice for the chef of Flourish Hotel in Malviya Nagar where a massive fire took place and twenty one occupants unfortunately died due to grievous burnt injuries and asphyxiation. Entire Uttarakhand has deeply condoled the tragic death of 21 innocent persons and prayed for their sould to rest in peace. But the way the Chef of the Hotel has been jailed and trapped in the case for no fault of his has annoyed the people of Uttarakhand living in Delhi and NCR.
They term this action as totally unjustifiable and think that a poor man who had been working as a cook for the survival of his family in Delhi has been trapped for alleged cover up whereas the actual culprit is the owner of the hotel who had actually violated the building bylaws for illegal construction, and fire safety norms etc. Negi being just a cook has nothing to do what tragedy has occured there except the fact that he had switched off the current to about the fire spread further and safeguarded himself and other staff finally coming out of the hotel amidst smoke falling outside , finally looked after by a doctor.
The hundreds of activists of Uttarakhand living in Delhi and NCR would stage a peaceful protest on 14 June from 10 AM to 2.00 PM under the auspicious of Uttarakhand Lok Manch and shall also handle a memorandum to the higher authorities seeking justice for Keshav Negi who according to them is wholly innocent and has not committed any mistake or crime during the fire in the hotel which was the result of the explosion due to alleged short circuit etc not within the capacity of his to control it.
The entire family of Keshav Singh Negi is in trauma and the Uttarakhand Lok Manch President Brijmohan Upreti said that they will continue their peaceful democratic struggle till the innocent victim Keshav Negi is not released from Jail and exonerated from all alleged fabricated charges.
