Call for OPS Restoration Written in Blood: Employees Organize Mega Blood Donation Camp in Dehradun, Submit Blood-Written Letter to Chief Minister

Demanding restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), the Rashtriya Purani Pension Bahali Sanyukt Morcha, District Dehradun today organized a huge voluntary blood donation camp at IMA Blood Bank, Ballupur, Dehradun. A large number of government employees enthusiastically donated blood voluntarily in the program and set an example of social service.
The main attraction of the program was the letter written in blood to the Chief Minister and the Government of Uttarakhand for restoration of Old Pension Scheme. Employees wrote a letter in their blood and demanded the Chief Minister to immediately restore the Old Pension Scheme. Through this unique campaign, the employees conveyed to the government that the demand for OPS is a serious issue related to their dignified and secure future. Through the Coordinator to the Chief Minister Shri Dalbir Danu, the blood-written letter for restoration of old pension was sent to the Chief Minister.
National President Shri B.P. Singh Rawat said that today through blood donation the employees have done both – service to humanity and through blood-written letter a call for security of their future.
District President Dehradun Avdhesh Semwal said that the huge participation of employees in the blood donation camp shows that there is tremendous unity among employees regarding OPS restoration. It is expected that the government will take a positive decision on this sensitive demand.
District General Secretary Abhishek Nawani said that employees have voluntarily donated blood and fulfilled their social responsibility and at the same time effectively conveyed the demand for restoration of old pension to the government. He demanded the government to take a positive initiative soon in the interest of employees.
There was also notable participation of women employees in the program. Women Vice President Preeti Pant said that OPS is not only an issue of employees but is also related to the security of the future of their families. Women employees stand firmly in support of the demand for restoration of old pension.
Joint Secretary Ritu Kothari said that blood donation is a great donation and today the employees have also raised their voice for their rights along with this noble work. State Organization Minister Shubham Chaudhary said that the program was completely peaceful, disciplined and purposeful and a unique attempt was made to convey the feelings of the employees to the government through a blood-written letter.
Coordinator Alok Jo said that today’s event was a unique confluence of employee interest and social service – on one hand, a message of saving lives by donating blood was given, and on the other hand, a demand for a secure future was conveyed to the Chief Minister by writing a letter in blood.
The Morcha appealed to the Chief Minister to take a prompt, positive and just decision on the long-standing demand of the employees of Uttarakhand for restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.
