Strong land act movement gaining momentum in Uttarakhand, Dharna on 29 th n 30 November at Gairsain
The Uttarakhand strong land act movement gains tremendous momentum in Uttarakhand with various social organisations including the Sakht Bhukanoon committee, UK1 and a regional political party Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha and CPML etc supporting them whole heartedly with final decision arrived at to commence a 1000 kilometre mobilisation car Yatra with hundreds of vehicles carrying hundreds of participants in Garhwal and Kumaon regions from 10 of December. But prior to that hundreds of activists are also marching to Gairsain on 29 th November, to pressurised the government and opposition party lawmakers to pass this demand in the Assembly before the imposition of election code of conduct as elections in Uttarakhand are likely to take place in the month of February. The BJP govt has convened a days assembly session at Gairsain to pass certain acts etc.
According to one of the main organisers of Uttarakhand Sakht bhu Kanoon Yatra Prabhat Kumar Karal the mobilisation 1000 kilometre Yatra id acknowledging tremendous support from various parts of Uttarakhand. In a public meeting held at Rishi Park at Dehradun today hundred of people have given their support and commitment by pledging to participate in this mobilisation Yatra said Prabhat Kumar Karal. He added that the demand for Sakht bhu kanoon and this 1000 kilometre Yatra is an attempt to make the himalayan state rid of land mafias. Criticizing various governments betraying them fir the last two decades Prabhat Kumar Karal said that it is enough now and we will have to participate in this Yatra in thousands to finally pressurised the government to enact Strong Bhu Janoon in Uttarakhand on 29th November session at Gairsain before the imposition of Code of Conduct. Last week the copy of the old lethargic and anti people land act was burnt in front of the media. The activists demand the credible lant act will stage a Dharna in front of Gairsain Assembly at Bhararisain on 29 th and 30 th November said Prabhat Kumar Karal. The public meeting was addressed by several speakers including Prabhat Kumar Karal, the coordinator of the Yatra Vasudev Jakhmola.
