Grand and Memorable Inauguration of ‘Business Uttarayan – Himalayan Business Mahakumbh – 2026’


New Delhi, 14th September 2026

Under the aegis of ‘Himalayan Resources Enhancement Society’, the first successful edition of ‘Business Uttarayan – Himalayan Business Mahakumbh 2026’ was organized at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, Chanakyapuri, in the national capital New Delhi. The main objective of this Mahakumbh is to provide a national platform to entrepreneurs, professionals and local handicrafts of the Himalayan region, promote business networking and encourage ‘Professional Reverse Migration’ (return to one’s roots and development).

The program began with the traditional sound of ‘Hudka Naad’ and Shakunakhar, with folk singer Bhuwan Rawat lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The lamp was lit by former Governor of Maharashtra and Goa and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Padma Bhushan Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari , along with Air Vice Marshal Rajesh Bhandari , Minister of State for Women Entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand Smt. Vinod Uniyal, senior film director Sushila Rawat , former Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University Haridwar Prof. Mohan Chandra Balodi , Shri Ramesh Chandra Bawadi and Delhi office bearers of Business Uttarayan.

Renowned entrepreneur from Faridabad Shri Gopal Uniyal gave the welcome address and called upon everyone to join Business Uttarayan, which is working for entrepreneurship development in the Himalayan states.

Founder of Business Uttarayan, Neeraj Bawadi, apprised everyone about the 7-year journey, key mentors, collaborators and future plans.

Former Governor of Maharashtra and Goa and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Padma Bhushan Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari , who is currently dedicatedly engaged in a nationwide campaign for social harmony and entrepreneurship development, described Business Uttarayan as an important beginning for entrepreneurship and professional reverse migration in Uttarakhand and Himalayan regions. He highly appreciated the program and called for such programs to be held continuously for the development of Uttarakhand.

Many dignitaries from the fields of politics, social service, defence, media, industry and culture participated as chief and special guests in this special program. Everyone introduced themselves and gave information about their work and services. Everyone got to know about each other and opportunities for mutual business opened up.

Personalities doing excellent work in various fields (like entrepreneurship, social service, culture and media) were felicitated.

The organizers said that “The goal of Business Uttarayan is not only to increase business, but to give international recognition to the skills, organic products, tourism and culture of the Himalayan region.”

The program was coordinated and conducted by the founder of Business Uttarayan, Neeraj Bawadi.
