CPI national secretary Comrade Atul Kumar Anjaan is no more, RIP

A renowned CPI ( Communist Party of India) leader with immense oratorical skill National Secretary who was elected the president of Lucknow University Student Union at the age of mere twenty, extremely dynamic and popular who compelled students especially female students donate their jewels to him to finance his election emotionally surcharged by his speech Atul Anjaan is no more who breathed his last after prolonged illness from cancer.

In a condolence message on social media platform X CPI wrote : CPI mourns the loss of Comrade Atul Kumar Anjaan, National Secretary, CPI. He Atul was battling disease for months but his spirit remained indomitable. He will be remembered as a great orator, debater and a communist till his last breath. Our tributes.

Born in 1954 , 69 years old Atul Anjaan was also the secretary of All India Kisan Sabha. Dedicated to the cause of the working class throughout his life outspoken and dashing Comrade Atul Kumar Anjaan also represented his party in national TV debates.

Having been imprisoned for four years and nine months during his political career of several decades Atul Anjaan played a pivotal role as a student leader in political PAC uprising in Uttar Pradesh.

His passing away is undoubtedly a huge loss for Communist Party of India , a void difficult to be filled. The Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Choudhary while expressing his deepest condolences in the sad demise of the renowned Communist leader Atul Anjaan wrote on X : I am shocked to learn about the death of Atul Kumar Anjaanji.

He was a brave and dedicated public servant. I pay my respectful tributes to him wrote Jayant Chowdhary chief of Rashtriya Lok Dal.

This journalist had interviewed Comrade Atul Anjaan several times at Ajoy Bhawan, New Delhi and was also one of the special guests in several of his seminars and a book release function. The senior journalist and former president of Press club of India Umakant Lakhera while expressing his condolences wrote :

There was no fixed time for his phone to come. He would often call late at night or early in the morning. Sometimes in the train, sometimes from the railway station.

A brilliant speaker, he was deeply concerned for the poor and the deprived in society. It is very sad to hear about the untimely demise of Comrade Atul Anjaan, a wonderful human being. Humble tribute. Senior journalist Vinod Agnihotri wrote on X while paying his tributes to comrade Atul Anjaan :

Atul Anjaan was an outspoken, fearless and loud voice which always raised its voice in favour of justice, honesty, poor, hardworking farmers, tribals, Dalits, backward people, youth, women and minorities has become silent forever. Goodbye comrade. Humble and tearful tribute with Lal Salaam.

Meanwhile All India Kisan Mahasabha has expressed deep condolence on the demise of Atul Kumar Anjan, National General Secretary of All India Kisan Sabha Ajay Bhawan. 69 year old Comrade Atul Anjan was suffering from serious cancer for the last 6 months. Comrade Atul Kumar Anjan, who was associated with the communist movement during his student days in 1977, has been the most popular president of Lucknow University Students Union. Comrade Atul Kumar Anjan, a powerful speaker and long-time National General Secretary of Kisan Sabha, had also played an important role in the historic Delhi Morcha of the farmers. He was one of the leaders of the nationwide farmers’ movement that started in 2017 on the demand of farmers’ debt relief and MSP guarantee law. He was also a member of the National Coordination Committee of the United Kisan Morcha.
