AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Gulleria cautions to be ready for any eventuality as Omicron cases rise to 153 in India with Maharashtra n Delhi having 54 n 22, Omicron cases

While Delhi has recorded 107 cases of Covid 19 after June with cases of Omicron reaching to 22 numbers after Maharashtra recording 54 cases, the situation seems to be giving a warning signal to countrymen to be aware and strictly abide to Covid 19 protocols safeguarding themselves at all costs.

According to the news pouring in, even the director of AIIMS Delhi Dr. Randeep Singh Guleria has catagorically cautioned everyone to be very cautious saying that whenever there is, spike in pandemic cases especially virus like Omicron mutating severely in other parts of the world we should monitor it closely and be ready to get off guard.

The concern of AIIMS director on the surge of Omicron in India and asking everyone to be prepared for any eventuality keeping in view the rising cases of Covid as well as Omicron in Britain with about 75 k cases detected two days ago, including India crossing 150 Omicron cases speaks for itself about the situation likely to go out of hand if not controlled in time.

According to various news reports Omicron cases in India are increasing day by day with Maharashtra topping with 54 cases, followed ny the national capital ( 22 cases), Rajasthan (17), Gujarat ( 11), Telengana ( 20), Karnataka ( 14), Kerala (11), Andhra Pradesh ( 1), Chandigarh(1), Tamilnadu(1), and West Bengal (1). These Omicron cases have been imported from abroad. After strict testing at the airports, many of these cases were detected. According to the latest news feed back, six persons were detected with Omicron infection, the new variant of Coronavirus in Maharashtra raising the state tally to 54 according to the health department. Two of the patients had the history of travel to Tanzania, while two had returned from England and one from middle east, all fully vaccinated revealed the report.

Another five year boy was from Junner having come in contact with a traveller from Dubai said the statement. Of the total 54 Omicron cases in Maharashtra, 22 are from financial capital Mumbai. In all so far India has 153 Omicron cases, gradually increasing day by day.
