A tragic road accident in the holy city of Haridwar on Monday morning caused panic among travelers. A bus carrying devotees from Rajasthan collided with a dumper near Shantikunj Gate No. 3, causing the bus to overturn on the highway. One female devotee died in the accident, while 16 passengers were seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus, packed with passengers, was turning from the service lane onto the main highway toward Haridwar. A speeding dumper truck coming from Raiwala struck the bus with such force. The impact was so severe that the bus overturned, while the uncontrolled dumper rammed into a roadside eatery.
