A heartfelt tribute was paid to late journalist and former editor of Sail Savera, late R P Dhyani ji, on the afternoon of 25th September 2026 at Garhwal Bhawan, New Delhi.
The condolence meeting was organized by the social organization Uttarakhand Film and Drama Institute, Delhi and family members of late Dhyani ji. The programme was attended by several writers, poets, litterateurs, artists, journalists, politicians and dignitaries of social organizations along with family members of late Dhyani ji, his wife Mrs. Sanyogita Dhyani and relatives.
On this occasion, all speakers recalled his sociability, simplicity and his unwavering commitment towards society and paid humble tributes to the departed soul. Music director and folk singer Shri Rakesh Gusain ji also paid musical tribute through devotional bhajans.
Prominent among those who expressed their condolences and shared memories of late Dhyani ji were Shri Pooran Kandpal, renowned author and litterateur; Shri Sunil Negi, senior journalist and editor of Uknationews; Shri Haripal Rawat, Congress leader; Shri Hem Pant, theatre artist, author and anchor; Smt. Sanyogita Dhyani, chief of UFNI and wife of late R P Dhyani, Kusum Bisht, first heroine of Jagwal, Shri Sarveshwar Bisht, singer and musician; Sushila Rawat, director, Smt. Manju Bahuguna, leading actor; Shri Manmohan Vedwal, artist and actor; Shri Debu Rawat, producer and director of Garhwali films; Shri Aswal, actor; Shri Darshan Singh Rawat, artist, Gajendra Chauhan, producer of Yudhvir Garhwali movie, B.S.Negi, actor, producer and actor, Kushal Singh Bisht, senior actor , Gambhir Singh Negi, former chief of GHS and several others.
Speakers said that late R P Dhyani ji always raised the issues of Uttarakhand and Uttarakhandis through his journalism and his absence has created a void that can never be filled.
