Villagers badly scared of roaming maneaters near Pauri township after a woman killed in Kamand few days ago and a leopard entered a courtyard

Pauri: In Uniyal village, near the leopard-affected Kamand village of development block Pauri, a leopard came to the courtyard of the house following a dog.
Due to which the woman sitting with her two daughters in the courtyard stopped speaking out of fear. They rang a plate kept nearby. After this the leopard ran away.
But after the incident there is an atmosphere of panic in the village. Before this incident a youth riding a bike had seen the leopard near the village.
On receiving information about the incident the forest department team has reached the spot.
It is worth noting that on May 15th, at 7:00 pm, a leopard killed an elderly man in Kamand village. On May 16th, villagers in Kamand village staged a strong protest. The villagers of Uniyal village provided detailed information to the forest department about the leopard’s constant threat to the village.
