Case lodged against four in Pauri town after attacking another youth with scissor, 4 arrested
In Pauri township two groups are involved in physical foght and a shop of the hair dressef was believed to be damaged and the articles thrown out.
There are reports that one of the groups attacked another group with scissors injuring the victims severely behind the ear.
According to the police officials if Pauri police station today, on 2nd April an incident of assault came to light near Jail Gadera ( rivulet) in Pauri due to a dispute between two parties over some issue. On the basis of the complaint of the plaintiff, FIR No. 09/2026, Section 118 BNS was registered at Kotwali Pauri.
On the basis of evidence against the persons involved in the incident, the police team arrested the accused Abdul Rauf, Mujamil, Mohd. Zayed and Mohd. Aaqif, residents of Upper Bazaar, Pauri, and necessary legal action is being taken.
The injured youth is Navin Negi, hit by scissors behind the ear severely.
The situation in Pauri is extremely sensitive with police playing a constructive role to pacify everyone fearing the situation going outvof hand. The situation seems to be tense and every effot have been made to ensure harmony than situation taking a communal colour.
The police are further investigating the matter thoroughly and ensuring that law and order is not disrupted. Police are also continuously monitoring the situation to maintain peace and order in the area.
The public is urged not to take the law into their own hands in case of any dispute and to immediately inform the police so that appropriate action can be taken in time. Furthermore, they should not pay attention to rumors.
