Garhwal Heroes reaches final. To play against Northern Rails for national cup in 21 st June

The Garhwal Heroes and Northern Railways have reached the finals of the Football Knockout national tournament being played at Kandoliya ground at Pauri Township, Garhwal.
First the Northern Railways defeated its nearest rival Pauri United in the semifinal competition reaching the finals while the energetic Garhwal Heroes defeated IIMT Meerut in the second semifinals by 2-1 reaching the final with Northern Railways and Garhwal Heroes to compete for the national cup.
According to the news , on Friday the former Nagar Palika president of Pauri Jaspal Singh Negi inaugurated the first semifinal match between the Northern Railways and the Pauri United at Kadoliya ground where the Northern Railway player Jitendra scored the first goal in the 9 th minute of the game leading by 2-1 against the Pauri, United.
The second goal was hit by the Northern Railways again in the 42 nd minute of the game giving it the lead of 2-0.
This incessant lead demoralised the Pauri United football team though they tried their best to counter the Northern Railway.
After the second half the match became quite interesting and both the teams seemed to be in full form but in the 60 th minute after energetic Jitendra made the third goal against the Pauri United, they were literally shattered physically as we as mentally losing their fighting spirit, altogether.
Leading by 3-0 against Pauri United the Northern Railways which kept their flag high since the beginning entered the finals.
In the second semi-final played between the Garhwal Heroes and IIMT Meerut , the chief guest was local MLA Raj Kumar PORI while the special Guest of Honour Rajendra Kumar Tamta.
While the match started with tremendous enthusiasm with both Garhwal Heroes and IIMT Meerut exhibiting good playing spirit, on the 23 rd minute of the game GH’s Himanshu scored a credible goal giving Heroes the 1.0 lead against Meerut.
In the fiftieth minute Garhwal Heroes again scored another goal and the scorer was Siddharth sending a jubilant wave among its fans and followers enjoying the game cheering vociferously.
The IIMT Meerut despite being hit by two goals exhibited enough determination and courage to hit a goal bringing the lead to 2-1 still facing a defeat by one goal which couldn’t be equalised despite their best efforts with Garhwal Heroes finally winning and entering the finals to be played against the Northern Railway on 21 st June.
