Agniveer Sachin Singh’s family who died just at the age of 19 in utter despair and financial scarcity with their one room house to likely to fall down.
An Agniveer,mere 19 years old hailing from a village in Kaljikhal block who was martyred on 4-5 th March in Kerala left behind a hapless poor family in trauma.
Just imagine the condition of the family in trauma which is already poor having lost their young son at the age of mere 19 who was the sole earning member of the entire family.
This village of martyr Sachin Singh falls under the jurisdiction of Pauri Garhwal district.
On the day of the sad unfortunate demise of Sachin Singh the Brigadier of Garhwal Rifles and senior officers came and paid tributes and similarly the area MLA but till date nothing has been done to provide them financial relief.
The father of the martyr Sachin Singh has both his kidneys with ailment as there are stones and is under medication.
He is an old person and sick.
His traumatised mother is also in pain. His sister is doing a diploma and brother pursuing higher studies at Srinagar Garhwal.
The family is moneyless and surviving in subject poverty with the government literary doing nothing to help and compensate them financially and adequately.
The father appeals to the government and the Army to release his dues immediately.
What is surprising and shocking to note is the hard fact that an Agniveer martyr is not given the stature of a Shaheed nor there is hefty financial compensation , nor provision of government job to the next of the kin.
If any Agniveer completed his five years term he is given in all ten lakhs finally but the martyred literally nothing except meagre financial help.
The condition of the one room house built under the Prime minister employment scheme or Ghar Yojana is in very sorry state of affairs with the ceiling likely to come down and the cow shed too in a dilapidated condition.
If such is the condition of the families of deceased Agniveers after their martyrdoms then where will the families go for justice. The traunatic ill father of late Sachin Singh is in tears urging the government and the Army authorities to repair his house and release the financial dues of his son who was the only source of support for the entire family which after his death is physically, mentally and financially shattered.
The area where the house of late Agniveer is situated is maneater leopard prone and the family is completely unsecure fearing the predator’s unpredictable attack anytime.
