4 Members Of Hindu Raksha Dal Arrested For Assaulting Girl During Protest In Delhi On Saturday

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Saturday arrested four persons for allegedly assaulting a girl during the protests in Central Delhi, after a video of the incident on Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Marg went viral.

The accused have been identified as:

– Raman Saini (50)
– Vivekanand alias Vivek (32)
– Kapil Kumar (27)
– Ravinder Singh alias Govind Hindu (35)

According to police, all four are members of the Hindu Raksha Dal.

Police said the incident took place on DDU Marg during the protests against the Chief Election Commissioner on Saturday, when a group of men attacked and manhandled a girl who was participating in the demonstration. The video of the assault and beating was widely shared on social media, prompting immediate action.

According to the sources one of them usa history sheeter and an alleged rapist. What is shocking in this entire development is that when these goons were thrashing and physically assauling the girl in full public glare in broad daylight the police wasn’t around and its only after the media channels and social media people viralled the videos showing these goons mercilessly thrashing the girl that the police under pressure took the action.

Taking cognizance of the viral video, Delhi Police registered a case and arrested the four accused.

Sounds shocking that on the one hand the genuine peaceful protestors were being arrested by the police these lumpen elements were openly in the streets attacks nh and assaulting girls. Shame.
