The life of the inhabitants of Uttarakhand is so challenging, odd and difficult that it’s really extremely difficult to survive.

Meanwhile , a very sad news is coming in from
Paligardh Yamunotri where 9 workers are reportedly missing due to landslide caused by cloudburst after rain during the past midnight.

Those living in the interior villages surrounded by forests, far away from roads are not only surviving in extreme shortage of health facilities and other means of livelihood, their houses built decades ago by their ancestors after tremendous efforts and resourceless means are either being naturally demolished in view of catastrophic disasters like massive rains , the lives of those living here sre also in excessive danger.

You are sleeping in your house and the other day you are swept away badly or in dying posture after massive landslides occur. Nobody knows.

There have been several instances during the last year monsoons when few villages in Chamoli and Tehri Garhwal/ Uttarkashi were completely swept away after ecological catastrophe of cloud bursts incidents leading to rivulets badly overloaded taking entire village into its destructive forceful fold. This resulted in several deaths and almost entire village being destroyed to the ground turning into a massive rubble.

There have been umpteen instances of the senior citizens suffering from critical illnesses , pregnant women being carried in make shift temporary palanquin like structures by several men of villages, even women for medical treatment in government hospitals or connecting roads far away from their villages. Several women had died in the way or delivered midway.

Several pictures and videos had gone viral in social media about primary and middle school students reaching and coming back from school on a rope and dilapidated wooden bridge.

Several accounts of boulders falling in running cars, fatal accidents on slippery and roads with pot holes during the raining season and even choppers crashes during the inclement foggy weather including maneater attacks have claimed several invaluable lives in Uttarakhand including collateral losses during massive landslides in rainy season.

Not only this but a video is today going viral about a boy to appear in an exam fighting the heavy overflowed river tides risking his life. Not only this but a full fledged cemented house built several years ago in Gram Sabha Bhanar, Tok Paankhu, Vichla Daanpur, Bageshwar has almost lost its foundation and is likely to be swept away in massive landslides that occured yesterday night with the entire family is tremendous panic.

The crux of the story is that the residents living in houses that are on risky foundations should during and even before monsoons shift themselves from such houses immediately to nearby safe on captions as life in Uttarakhand hills at risky location is definitely fatal and unpredictable. Be cautious and careful ! Depending on the government agencies for their safety is a wrong option altogether.
