Uttarakhand govt gives free travel facility for women commuters in govt buses within the state on 12 August, on the eve of “Rakshabandhan” Festival
It seems as if the BJP government of Uttarakhand is going in the lines of Delhi AAP government commencing giving concessions to women in state transport buses. Following the pattern of Delhi government which had been giving free travel to women commuters earlier on Raksha Bandhan festival, now free tickets to Delhi women commuters in DTC buses, the Uttarakhand government has also declared free travel in Uttarakhand transport buses within the state for women on Raksha Bandhan festival on 12 th August, 2022. This was announced through an official order of the state government by secretary Arvind Kumar Hewanki today. The free travel facility for women commuting of Uttarakhand government buses would be applicable with the state travel for 12 th August, Raksha Bandhan day only.
