
Three Nepali thieves accused of theft, who had stolen jewellery worth several crores from Hyderabad in Telangana and reached Uttarakhand, about 1700 kilometers away likely to cross the border and reach their hidden destination, have been caught by the vigilant police officers of the three States cumulatively. Kudos.
The collaboration of Telangana, Uttarakhand and UP police has exposed this high profile theft and has caught three accused residents of Nepal with a jewellery worth Rs. Five crores. The Telangana police will homd a Press conference in Hyderabad today and will give full information on this case.
The long arms of law caught the accused of theft as the Uttarakhand police acknowledged a big success in the case of jewellery theft worth about Rs 5 crore in Telangana.
Two women and a young man were taken into custody during the operation. The investigation is ongoing.
In fact, after jewellery worth approximately ₹5 crore was stolen in Hyderabad, an IPS officer from Telangana informed Udham Singh Nagar District Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganapathy at midnight on Monday, June 8th.
IPS officer Ganapathy stated that the Nepalese-born accused involved in the theft were attempting to flee to Nepal via Uttarakhand.
Telangana IPS officer informed Uttarakhand police that when he was not found, SP Ajay Ganapathy of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand himself took charge of the operation late at night with the OG team.
The police team launched a security checking campaign on the Chhadupur-Bilaspur border vigorously.
SP Ajay Ganapathy himself was monitoring the entire operation.
Uttarakhand Police chased a roadways bus and during the intensive checking three Nepali-origin accused who had boarded the bus to flee to Nepal were identified.
During the joint operation, the accused were apprehended in Bilaspur area of Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Jewellery theft accused arrested in Bilaspur, Rajasthan and Jewellery worth crores of rupees stolen from Hyderabad was also recovered from the accused, as the bus was on the Uttar Pradesh border, the recovery and legal action was taken by Bilaspur Police, the police have taken two women and a youth into custody.
UP Police took three accused into custody forthwith.
According to the information, Telangana Police had received information that Nepali people suspected of theft were moving ahead through Uttarakhand via a roadways bus.
Upon receiving the information the SSP Ajay Ganapathi reached Rudrapur police station alongwith the police force though by then the bus carrying those three theives had left the Rudrapur bus station. And was likely to enter the periphery of Uttar Pradesh.
Considering the gravity of the situation, Uttar Pradesh Police was immediately alerted. Following this, a joint team of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh Police launched a massive search operation in the border area. Police said that SSP Ajay Ganapathy and his team personally chased and intercepted the Sandarbh bus in front of Narayan Hospital on Bilaspur-Rampur road.
Two women and a youth from Nepal were caught.
It has come to light that a stolen jewellery worth crores of rupees was recovered from their possession. According to preliminary information, the recovered jewellery is estimated to be worth around Rs 5 crore.
Interrogation of the accused taken into custody: Currently, the three people taken into custody are being interrogated and a detailed investigation of the case is underway. The police are trying to find out who else is involved in this theft and where the jewellery was being taken.
Udham Singh Nagar SSP Ajay Ganapathy stated that this action was taken based on information received from an IPS officer in Telangana. After stealing cash worth Rs 5 crore from a prominent businessman’s house in Gakhibowli, Hyderabad, these accused fled to Rudrapur Uttarakhand, about 1,700 kilometers away from Hyderabad.
The Nepal border is only 165 kilometers from Rudrapur. Their bus had already left Rudrapur . The Nepal border is 100 kilometers from Miskal, the place where they were caught in Bilaspur, located in the Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. Had the Telangana IPS officer delayed a little, and the Uttarakhand police had received his call late, the bird would haven’t been caught.
Once the accused of theft crossed the Nepal border, it would have been very difficult to find them. The search would have been so lengthy that the search would have taken a long time.
