Several international films recieve Delhi International Film Festival Awards , best being China, Russia and Iran

Sushila Rawat felicitated with best women award in the regional film catagory




The post Delhi International Films Festival awards presentation ceremony’s concluding session came to an end yesterday evening when several representatives of High Commissions and ambassies were presented the prestigious Delhi International Films Awards for various outstanding films from Russia, China, Iran, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Latvia, India, Uttarakhand , DPR Korea etc etc.

The main inspiration behind the commencement and completion of the DIFF event was Ram Kishore Parcha whereas Mr. Punetha , the media head of DIFF, Mr.Anurag, Mr. Rai, Mr. Joshi, Mr. Rahul Thapliyal,Mr. Rajan Jha, Mr. Piyush Sagar , his entire team and theatre artist, director Lakshmi Rawat etc deserved full appreciation for their untiring services, cumulative efforts and cooperation throughout the Delhi International Films Festival.

The countries which received the awards for their best movies in their country’s dialects n languages were Russia bagging three back to back awards, Iran , China , Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Latvia etc.

Sushila Rawat, director and Laxmi Rawat, theatre activist were also felicitated on this ocassion alongwith the entire team of the organisers of Delhi International Film Festival.

The director of Ghangtol Garhwali movie which was also screened yesterday evening for the second time at Indira Gandhi Centre for Arts auditorium Mrs Sushila Rawat got the best women director award on this ocassion with Sanjay Joshi and Mr. Dhar producers also on the stage receiving the prestigious DELHI INTERNATIONAL FILMS TROPHY AND CITATION amid cheers from the audience with majority of them being from Uttarakhand eagerly waiting for the screening of the Garhwali movie produced by Jodha Films.

The event was interesting and the book authoered by the brain behind the smooth and seamless Chand ction and completition of Delhi International Film festival Mr. Ram Kishore Parcha was also released in this ocassion.

Around 170 films from 51 countries participated in this Delhi International Films Festival which commenced on May 4, 2026 to May 8 with the participantionn of eminent film personalities with its inauguration done by prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award laureate Adoor Gopal Krishnan, the legendary vocalist and playback singer Usha Uthup (who received the Lifetime Achievement Award) and Bangladeshi vocalist Runa Laila (who was conferred the Minar-e-Delhi Award) etc.

Prior to this, the newly launched International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) took place at Bharat Mandapam from March 25 to March 31, 2026.

That event was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and attended by a massive Bollywood celebrity turnout including Sharmila Tagore, Dharmendra, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, and Kangana Ranaut.
