Pawan Khera accuses SEBI for sitting on a complaint for 7 months and let the 15.5 crores scam happen
The Rajya Sabha MP, a vociferous Congress leader and incharge of the Communication and publicity department of Congress Pawan Khera has accused the BJP led NDA government and the SEBI of complete incompetence, negligent and intentionally careless to allegedly allow a massive scam of Rs. 15.5 lakh crores with the investment of more than 2000 crores of LIC and the SEBI sitting on the complaint for seven long months to let the scam happen and people of the country cheated in public glare.
In a press conference today the outspoken MP and senior Congress leader Pawan Khera said that in March 2024, a shareholder filed a
complaint, but LIC continued to invest
money in Rajesh Exports consistently.
This happened because Madhabi Puri Buch did nothing about that complaint for 7 months.
In 2015, Rajesh Exports invested 400illion dollars to buy a gold refinery in Switzerland, but SEBI conducted no scrutiny
Rajesh Exports is a company that deals in gold jewelry and GEMS, and it has no connection whatsoever to the energy
storage sector
Yet, on March 23, 2022, the Modi
government’s Ministry of Heavy Industries
awarded Rajesh Exports a 5 GW
manufacturing capacity project worth
18, 100 crore rupees
In this bidding, apart from Rajesh Exports, there were 7 other competitors connected to the energy storage sector, but instead of awarding the work to them, it was given to Rajesh Exports.
Between the years 2020-21 and 2024-25, Rajesh Exports has shown work worth 15.15lakh crore rupees on paper, but no agency has taken notice of it said the vociferous Congress leader Pawan Khera.
