More than 16000 Indians still stranded in Ukraine with Indian government determined to bring every single stranded men out of war torn country at the earliest
While the citizens and Army of war torn Ukraine are strongly and bravely trying to counter the Russian attacks having been surrounded from all sides with Russian troops, tanks and regular bombings having till now killed more than two hundred people despite Russian president assuring that they don’t have any plans to attack the civilian population of Ukraine, there are nearly sixteen thousand Indians stranded in Ukraine.
According to latest reports while yesterday night about 219 students were safely evacuated from Bucharest, Romania through air lifting to Mumbai airport, about five hundred Indians have been safely evacuated through land routes claimed officials at UN.
It may be recalled that hundreds n thousands of desperate and worried panic stricken Ukranians, including people staying there from various countries are rushing to Romania, Hungary and Poland for safe pastures to board planes to reach India n other destinations of the world.
The Indian government through its embassies and missions are trying their best to ensure the safe return of the stranded Indians to India.
The Indian ambassador to Bucharest, Romania Rahul Srivastava had yesterday while addressing the air evacuees had assured that Indian government is doing its best to ensure that the last Indian is safely brought back to India from war torn Ukraine at all costs.
Meanwhile, the Russian government has lauded India’s stand on abstaining from the voting in United Nation’s Security Council thus indirectly favouring Russia, when a resolution was moved in UN by the 15 member security Council comprising of US, Canada, Britan and majority of the UNSC members with Russia using its veto to block the resolution.
Along with India, China and United Arab Emirates too abstained from voting.
India being the decades old traditional friend of USSR even before its disintegration n now as well despite a huge tilt towards US was compelled to do so in view of its defence business n the ongoing purchase of S400 missiles etc.
The permanent Indian representative to United Nations Mr. Tirumurti said that India is deeply disturbed by the recent turn of developments in Ukraine.
Meanwhile as per reports pouring in from various news agencies more than 1 lakh 20 thousand panic stricken people with families, leaving everything behind have left Ukraine to the neighbouring countries like Romania, Moldowa, Poland and Hungary etc and about two lakh Russian troops have been stationed at border of Ukraine with half of them having entered Ukraine n hundreds of tanks and thousands of missiles bring fired on the Ukranian population.
The Western nations n NATO members have accused Russian President to overthrow the Ukraine government by force and form its puppet government killing innocent people with US President sanctioning 350 billion dollars as, AID to Ukraine and Germany supplying anti missile weapons including applying sanctions against Russia on a major scale.
