KEDAR HINDI FILM PREMIERED IN DELHI ON 13 TH MARCH
The Hindi feature film produced by Gujarat based industrialist from Uttarakhand Suresh Pandey and directed by Kamal Mehta with Deva Dhami and Suman Khanduri in leading roles as hero and heroine shot in the serene locations of Kumaon, Uttarakhand such as Bhavali, Bhimtal etc was premiered at Film Division’s Auditorium at Mahadev Road, New Delhi on 12 th March 2023.
The state minister of defence and tourism Ajay Bhatt, MP from Almora, former union state minister of Textiles Ajay Tamta and founder of Divine Manifestations Mrs Preety Katyal graced the occasion by their pivotal presence as chief guest.
The film Kedar based of the struggle of boxer Kedar Singh Negi ( film name ) is a story of a common but determined boy of grit and immense courage from Uttarakhand hailing from a modest family who is born and brought up in an interior village battling poverty but holding a dream to do something big one day to earn enough money so that he can built a hospital in his village to cure local patients who are devoid of basic and adequate health facilities.
Due to poor medical facilities and lack of adequate hospitals even basic health system at the village or block level Kedar loses his father due to bad health and lack of medical care while the villagers were ferrying him to hospital on a self made temporary chair in the form of palanquin lifted by four men when he was an adolescent.
After losing his beloved father for want of medical care and to cherish his dream to become a boxer since his childhood days and earn handsomely to built a well equipped hospital at the cost of Rs 50-60 lakhs, young Kedar under the incessant pressure of his mother migrates to Gurugram for job to earn for his family and also to fulfil his dream to build a hospital.
He always had big dreams since childhood becoming a boxer and earning handsomely to built a hospital in his village.
It’s in a way a big slap on the prevailing deteriorating health system of Uttarakhand even after attaining statehood 22 years ago. The film successfully endeavours to highlight the plight of villagers in the context of point health n medical system in Uttarakhand including migration as a progressing factor.
The film exhibited on Kedar Singh Negi ‘s village life with serene hill locations, melodious songs and good dialogue deliveries including his falling in love with the heroine till intermission the next part after intermission is based on his relentless struggling life in Gurugram after migrating here first as a Guard and then as a boxer defeating an international Pakistan boxer Moosa and earning name and fame n including winning Rs 50 lakhs as prize money to fulfil his long awaited dream to built a hospital.
Film Kedar has beautiful Hindi and Kumaoni songs with histrionics of Mumbaiya style in both Pahadi attire as well as attire of high society.
The film has beautiful songs with tremendous action and romance which seems inspired by Bollywood with the makers of this film claiming to be a blockbuster movie compelling audiences to come to cinema halls to watch it. However, the film is a good combination of village and city lifestyle.
Those who contributed phenomenally in the making if the movie KEDAR are renowned industrialist Suresh Pandey who also acted in the movie briefly looking good n this being his debut in acting in big silver screen n Jatinder Bhati.
The co producers of the film are Avinash Jain, Ganesh Singh Rautela, Anurag Kaushal, Alankrita Manvi, and Vikas Deshwar. The movie had been directed by Kamal Mehta with its lyricists being renowned literateur n prolifuc writer Harisuman Bisht, Sayendra Parendia, Usha Upadhyay etc.
The music to the film were accorded by Satyendra Parendia and Virendra Negi. The songs of the film were sung by Satyendra, Parendia, Virendra Negi, Deepa Pant and Satya Adhikari. The hero of the movie is, DEVA DHAMI AND HEROINE SUMAN KHANDOORI The co actors are Ganesh Singh Rautela, Sanyogita, Dhyani, Debu Rautela, Supreet, Veerender Commando, Arun Sharma, Divya Roy and Vinay Kumar. The film will be formally released on March 24 th in Uttarakhand followed by its exhibition in theatres of Delhi and NCR.
