More than hundred film artists, directors, writers etc felicitated at UFTARA event in Dehradun
( Mr. Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat is an eminent director , actor and writer having to his credit four Garhwali films viz Raju Bajrangi ( Hindi movie,available on You Tube) Marcha, Baulya Kaka, Kandali and Atithi Devo Bhava in the making. He is credited for working in the production of around three hundred films in the Southern Fim Industry having the credible experience of more than 45 years in film making. His debut was from film Jagwal as an assistant , the first Garhwali movie produced in 1983. Kudos)
The Uttarakhand Film Television and Radio Association in a glittering function at the Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun felicitated over hundred actors, artists, journalists ( critics) Uttarakhand movies including directors, writers and technical persons for their outstanding contribution to Uttarakhand regional movies during the past few decades thus playing a pivotal role in strengthening, preserving and promoting the culture, traditional values, folks, heritage and the films of Uttarakhand at the pan India level.
The Uttarakhand cabinet minister of Tourism, PWD, Culture and several other departments was the chief guest in this ocassion. Mrs Madhu Bhatt, the Vice chairman of the Uttarakhand’s Sanskrity evom Kala Parishad was the special guest of honour whereas the vive chairman of the Uttarakhand Film Development Council Bansidhar Tiwari was the Guest of honour on this occassion. The awardees of UFTARA Trophies and citation with honours were felicitated by the chief guest Satpal Maharaj and the guest of honours.
The cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj while congratulating the organisers especially Pradeep Bhandari said that the Uttarakhand fims are progressing by leaps and bounds and the state government will do its best to co-operate the film makers to ensure that the Regional Film Industry prospects progressively in the future. The chief of Uttarakhand Films television and Radio Association Pradeep Bhandari urged the Uttarakhand government to start the credible state government film awards and also include the representatives of Uttarakhand Film industry in the body of the Uttarakhand Film Development Council. The other office bearees Anil Chouhan, Kanta Prasad and Convenor Mr. Panwar were also present.
