Former CM Rawat takes allegations of BJP on holiday on Namaz and his cap seriously. Writes : Will meet after elections on this forgery n will have to reply on this.
The veteran Congress leader, former Uttarakhand CM and chairman of the election campaign committee of the hilly state Harish Rawat today came down heavily on Bhartiya Janata Party n its leaders though not naming anyone directly saying that let the time come after the election and you will have to pay for this forgery for telling a big lie, sometimes on the issue of holiday for Namaz and sometimes on his cap.
Rawat has today posted a writeup in hindi on his Facebook account and then on his twitter handle blaming BJP for these big lies terming them as forgery and warning that they will have to pay the price after elections.
It may be recalled that the chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has on Wednesday tweeted as well as given a statement to media persons that the people of Uttarakhand Devbhoomi are devotees of Lord Rama and nationalists.
The people of this state who are equivalent to God’s will never accept Congress party believing in the politics of appeasement. The BJP has done and will always work for the development of the state. He further said and tweeted that the Congress which has in the name of politics of appeasement declared holiday in the name of Jumme ki Namaaz is now talking of establishing a muslim university in Uttarakhand. The people of Uttarakhand will never let Congress destroy the land of abode of God’s tweeted Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday.
In his post in social media, Rawat, while strongly rebutting the charges terming them as forgery wrote : Now again the BJP’s big lie has come out, sometimes on holiday of Namaz and sometimes on my cap.
BJP you don’t have anything else to tell the people of the state but only instigate Hindu Muslim stance.
Atleast tell me as to how many Bangladeshies and infiltrators have you expelled/ ousted from the country in so many years of your rule?
You have forgotten the issue after attaining power on which you had been polarising people politically to serve your vested interests.
You have forgotten that Harish Rawat has declared holiday on the day of the prayer of Lord Sun the Holiday of Chath Puja. You have forgotten that Harish Rawat has declared the Karwa Chouth holiday for women ( our sisters) who keep a day’s fast for their husband’s long life. Have given holiday on Ravidas Jayanti on acount of the incarnation of God Raidass born in a Dalit family. Harish Rawat promoted and encouraged traditional festivals of Harela, Phuldei, Ghee Sankranti and Uttarayini and implemented the govt scheme to celebrate them with enthusiasm and full dedication. You couldn’t see our successful effort to built a Sanskrit university in Haridwar. You couldn’t see this achievements. And now Muslim university issue is being raised? Nobody said about this to me. I very well understand that the way any responsible Congress office bearer and Muslim brother have never demanded any holiday for Namaz, in the same manner no demand has been made for any Muslim University. But to tell lies nobody is comparable to you. Will meet after the elections and you will have to pay for this somewhere for this forgery wrote former CM Harish Rawat in his Facebook post.
It may be recalled that the issue of Muslim University being raised out of proportion by BJP erupted after an independent candidate Akil Ahmed who turned hostile fighting from Sahaspur seat against Congress candidate was brought into Congress fold on some assurances.
While addressing the media he said that he had agreed to withdrawing from the contest after he was given assurance by Congrese leaders about sanctioning a university for Muslims in Uttarakhand apart from other demands.
This video went viral in social media with BJP leaders and CM Uttarakhand accusing Congress n Harish Rawat for appeasing the minorities, first by allegedly declaring holiday for Jumme ki Namaz and then assuring about establishing a Muslim university in Uttarakhand after they come to power in the hilly state saying that people of Uttarakhand will never let this happen and accept Congress party.
