Women volunteers of Mahila Congress protested in Delhi demanding immediate reservation of women in 33% seats in parliament out of 543 seats instead of misguiding them by connecting it with delimitation bill etc.

Hundreds of activists of All India Mahila Congress led by its president Alka Lamba today protested outside the party headquarter as they were stopped by the police in hundreds.
The women police in large numbers including the male police laid the cordon and didn’t allowed the Mhila Congress activists to move ahead.
The women activists sat on the Dharna and started raising slogans against the BJP government and the PM demanding that the already passed women bill may be implemented immediately and thirty three percent seats reserved for women out of the present Parliamentary strenght of 543 members instead of fooling and misguiding them connecting the women’s reservation issue with the delimitation on the basis of the census of 2011 population and seeking 131 st amendment of the constitituon which fall flat by the unified opposition.
The protesting women were holding playcards , raising slogans under the scorching summer. They also burnt the effigy of BJP led NDA government for its failure to accord 33% reservation to women of our country despite the bill having been passed and notified.

Speaking to reporters Alka Lamba said that at the initiative uf the Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi the women reservation bill has already been passed.
The government should immediately implement the already passed it giving 33% reservation on the present Parliament strength, not going for further twists attaching the dekimstion bill and constititional amendment with it.
