It’s for the very first time in the history of All India Institute of Medical Sciences that a senior professor, chief of cardiology department has been removed from his important position in the complaint of a nursing staff regarding harrasment and victimisation. According to the news reports Dr. Bisoi , the chief of cardiology department uf AIIMS was removed on Saturday after a senior nursing officer complained about her abuse by the Professor Bisoi. The director of the AIIMS has now removed Dr. S.K.Bisoi and appointed Professor Dr. Deva Guru as the chief of the AIIMS cardiology department. According to a report in Hindustan, a senior Nursing officer has on 30 th September reported her complaint to the Director AIIMS regarding her harrasment by the chief of Cardiology department Dr.S.K.Bisoi. The Nursing Union also stood in solidarity with the complainant and demanded the suspension of Dr. S.K.Bisoi and departmental probe by sending the director three different complaints. According to the complaint the Chitrkoot ef of the cardiology department Dr. Bisoi has threatened the nursing officer of teaching her. Befitting lesson. Not once but twice. On Saturday through the orders issued by the director of AIIMS Dr. Bisoi was suspended n removed. Dr. Bisoi strongly objected to the allegations saying that they are absolutely baseless and levelled under the influence of someone against him. The AIIMS Nursing Union had even send the complaint to the Prime minister’s office on 9 th August. He was charged in 2019 too about harrassing a woman nurse but then no action was taken against him by the probe committee set up by the Director.
