Two persons had died today near Khaadi on Rishikesh Road after a bus turned upside down near Chamba.
About twenty persons have been injured in this tragedy some severely.
The Chamba police personel including the local residents took the injured to the hospital and also retrieved the two dead bodies sending them for postmortem and completion of other legal formalities.
The Senior superintendent of Police, Tehri Garhwal came to the accident spot and supervised the entire rescue operation.
This tragedy occured at 10.15 PM when the Vishwanath Bus service bus heading for Haridwar from Ghuttu Ganshyali crashed with the barrier, twelve kilometres away near Khaadi at a blind turn and turned upside down with a bang in which twenty two passengers were travelling.
While two persons died instantaneously declared both dead by the hospital authorities about tweenty passengers were injured some severely.
On receiving information about the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Tehri inspected the spot and ordered an inquiry into the causes of the incident.
