Several arrested while protesting against the indecent remarks of the minister Premchand Aggrawal in Uttarakhand assembly against the Uttarakhandies

On 02 March, Mahanagar Delhi Uttarakhand Pravasi Sangathan protested against Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggrawal’s s abusing of Uttarakhand natives from Rajghat, in which the hill natives of Delhi participated in large numbers. During protest demonstration, there was lathi charge by the Delhi Police and all the agitators were detained and taken to Rajendra Nagar police station in buses. The hill natives also protested in the police station and a memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister by the organization through the SHO of the police station. All the agitators were released after the ruckus late in the evening. Those arrested were the office bearers of MDUPS, President Kamal Dhyani, General Secretary Mukesh Khantwal, Secretary Birendra Patwal, Principal Harpal Manral, Legal Advisor Advocate Mahavir Singh Farswaan, Treasurer Harendra Rawat, spokesperson Ravindra Rawat and prominent workers Raghubir Patwal, including Anil Pant, Manoj Dwivedi, Lakshmi Negi, Rekha Bhatt etc.
