Manish Jugran: A Multifaceted Leader and Entrepreneur

Manish Jugran, the Chairman of the Uttarakhand Welfare Association UK (UWAUK) and the Managing Director of JMVL Ltd., has traveled from London, UK, to attend the first International Uttarakhand Migrant Conference. Over the past 16 years, he has transitioned from being a software engineer to a charity organizer and an entrepreneur while living in London.

Originally from Yamkeshwar, Pauri Garhwal, Manish spent his early years in Rishikesh with his family. His journey began with a strong academic foundation. He earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Garhwal University and later completed a Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University. These achievements laid the groundwork for a successful career in software engineering. After completing his education, Manish entered the corporate world, initially working as a software engineer. Soon, he had the opportunity to showcase his technical expertise in the UK, where he provided IT services and solutions to prominent banks.

Beyond his professional achievements, Manish Jugran’s life is marked by his deep dedication to community welfare. He became an active member of the Uttarakhand Welfare Association UK (UWAUK), a charity organization committed to supporting people from Uttarakhand residing in the UK. After years of dedication and leadership, he was appointed as the organization’s chairman.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, under his leadership, UWAUK partnered with the Uttarakhand government to deliver essential resources such as oximeters and oxygen cylinders to rural areas in Uttarakhand. His efforts ensured that these critical supplies reached regions where access to medical equipment was often limited. The organization has also consistently supported families living in London, particularly those facing emergencies. In the past few years, UWAUK has assisted individuals in dire situations, including helping repatriate the bodies of those who tragically passed away in the UK, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy.

In addition to his charitable endeavors, Manish has made significant strides as an entrepreneur. He founded JMVL Ltd., an IT company that has developed innovative apps catering to daily needs. These include Jaayka, Cheap Fuel UK, Game On The Go, and Community Connector. Jaayka is a digital platform that simplifies management for food businesses, including restaurant owners, pub operators, and cloud kitchens, streamlining their operations efficiently. Cheap Fuel UK helps users locate fuel stations with the lowest prices, enabling them to save money daily.

Expanding his entrepreneurial reach, Manish has also ventured into the hospitality industry. His company recently partnered to open 1947 London, a restaurant on Oxford Street. This establishment reflects not only his entrepreneurial vision but also his commitment to promoting cultural experiences.

Manish Jugran’s journey exemplifies the blend of service, innovation, and leadership. His contributions, both as a community leader and an entrepreneur, continue to inspire and create a meaningful impact on countless lives.
