Hakam Singh resort finally demolished though partially amid hundreds of women led by his wife Vimla Devi opposing !

Resorts in Uttarakhand after the brutal Ankita murder case have become targets of the state government especially after lots of hue and cry was raised after the partial demolition of the Vanantatara resort of main murderer Pulkit Arya allegedly with an ill conceived design to finish all the evidences, as accused by the infuriated people. Resort these days are bring seen as ” ADDAAS of MAUJMASTI”, and people are extremely furious demanding thorough investigation of the these doubtful and illegal resorts considered to be safe haven for carrying out illegal activities. In order to exhibit the seriousness of its actions against resorts, the Uttarakhand police administration has on Tuesday demolished the resort of Hakam Singh, now behind bars and the main architect of the the massive cheating, paper leak and recruitment scam of UKSSSC. There were more than two hundred police personal in uniform including from paramilitary forces ( ITBP) fully equipped with weapons during the operation. When the DM, SSP n the police personel along with several buldozers reached the resort at Sidri village near Sankri under Mori Tehseel owned by Hakam Singh, the former BJP Jila Punchayat member, hundreds of infuriated women led by his wife tried to put resistance forbidding the demolishing party not to do say. The logic of Hakam’s wife was that since the resort is in the name of her built on the land of her father, the authorities have no right to demolish it. However, after repeated pleas of the senior police officials and forest department to the protestors to let them do their official duty the women would not relent. As a result more than two hundred policemen had to intervene on the orders of the DM. The crowd was dispersed and the work of demolition started, consuming lot of time. According to the latest news the resort was illegal as it was constructed on government land as well. The resort was constructed using the expensive devdar wood ( Cedar) and the demolition staff had to clear the roof of the huge resort very carefully taking out expensive wooden slabs one by one finally destroying the upper story of the resort making it headless. The owners were allowed to take out the expensive articles from the resort to avoid any damages. In addition to this resort built arbitrarily on government land there are also charges of arbitrarily capturing/ encroaching on 1.128 hectares of government land on which he had constructed three buildings. He also captured about 0.907 hectares of land of National Govind Pashu Vihar Park and opened an apple orchard planting 130 apple trees including two structures on this land arbitrarily. What is, important to note here that the lavish resort of Hakam Singh was illegally built on the PWD as well as the forest land in contravention of all rules and regulations.
