DCW issues notice to Delhi Police DCP, Cyber Crime Unit urging to lodge FIR against Shaktiman actor Mukesh Khanna !

The Delhi Commission of Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against the Shaktiman television serial fame Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna urging to furnish it Action Taken Report latest by 13 th August fir his objectionable and derogatory remarks against the women community. In a Notice wide number F1(62) CP/DCW, 2022/235 dated 10/8/22 signed by the DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal, the Notice addressed to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Unit, IFSO, Delhi Police states that the Delhi Commission of Women’s Act 1994 mandates the Commission to investigate and examine all matters relating to safeguards provided for women under the Constitution and give recommendations to the government on the issue of women safety and section 10 of the said Act empowers the DCW to seek any information from any office for the aforesaid purpose and gives it powers of a Civil. Court in this regard. The Delhi Commission of Women has taken sup motto cognizance of the video circulated in the social media in which Shaktiman actor Mukesh Khanna is seen passing derogatory comments against the women said the notice. According to DCW chairperson the statements of the actor are highly offensive to women dignity and extremely misogynistic thus outraging the modesty of the women attracting several several sections of the law. In the notice the DCW chairperson writes that actor Mukesh Khanna said : If any girl says to any boy that she is interested to have sex with you, then that girl is not a girl but is doing a business. No girl of the civilised society will utter such words and if she does then it means that she does not belong to a civilised society, as no girl of a dignified society will utter such derogatory words. This is their business, don’t be party to it said Khanna states the notice send to the deputy commissioner, crime by Swati Maliwal. The chairperson urged the DCP to furnish the information sought in this regard to the Commission by 13 August 4 PM. She also tweeted in this context annexing the letter saying that we have issued notice to Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against Shaktiman actor Mukesh Khanna for using derogatory remarks against women community.
