Kishore Upadhyay meets Union health minister and requests for a full fledged medical institution at Tehri, Garhwal, Uttarakhand

The former state minister of Uttarakhand and currently lawmaker from Tehri Garhwal legislative Assembly Kishore Upadhyay who is in Delhi these days has met the Union Minister of health Mansukh Mandviya and presented him a memorandum and an Uttarakhandi colourful cap, famous these days after prime minister Narendra Modi had worn it, becoming extremely popular as Uttarakhandi topi.

While speaking to the Union minister of health and family welfare Mr. Mandviya, Kishore Upadhyay acquainted him about Tehri Garhwal attaining name and fame in global tourism having been developed as a world class tourist destination.

However, he complained about the worsening health sector in Uttarakhand and Tehri devoid of medical facilities and hospitals etc.

He said that in view of the lacking of medical facilities in Tehri Garhwal the Tehri township and the area is adversely suffering despite Tehri developing as a global tourist destination. Therefore establishment of a modern equipped medical facilities oriented hospital is an inevitable need of the hour said Kishore Upadhyay while talking to the Union health minister Mansukh Mandviya who gave him quite a satisfactorily patient hearing and assuring of every possible help n support. The memorandum presented to the Union health minister Mandviya it is, state that even after India getting independent 76 years ago Tehri Garhwal is badly suffering in terms of health and medical facilities . With the blessings of prime minister Narendra Modi Tehri is being developed as a global tourism destination with the investment of Rs 2000 crores but in view of the lack of medical facilities the investors are in a demoralised mode. The MLA, Upadhyay said that he has already arranged land for a hospital at Tehri. The Union health minister is therefore requested to sanction a hospital here so that the people of Tehri Garhwal crying for medical facilities heave a huge sigh of relief mentioned the memorandum submitted by him to Mr. Vaishnavi.
