Veteran Actor Jeetendra fulfils ailing Junior Mehmood’s wish and meets him in hospital
The popular comic actor of Bollywood who commenced his career in films as a child artist after legendary actor, director and producer Mahmood gave him the first break in film “Padosan” and thereafter in number of other movies, giving Nayeem Sayyed the title of Junior Mahmood, is today in Mumbai hospital suffering from acute stomach cancer having spread in lungs and lever taking him to fourth stage of dreaded cancer.
The doctors have given him maximum forty days to survive. He has lost more than twenty Kgs of weight looking extremely frail and thin.
Junior Mahmood has acted in over 260 Hindi Bollywood and regional movies, producing few ones.
His filmy career spans over six decades. He was ill since the last 2.5 months but when his weight reduced rapidly all of a sudden he was diagnosed of stomach cancer having spread to lever and lungs. Since then he is in a Mumbai hospital. He is 67 years old.
Junior Mahmood who had worked with veteran actor Jitender and Sachin Pilgaonkar in good number of movies had expressed his keen desire to meet them being his last wish.
The message was spread in social media and through newspapers. As a result his childhood friend and co actor in several movies Sachin Pilgaonkar had met him in hospital and had asked his family if he could provide them any help to which the family members refused but requested him to pray for his recovery.
The veteran actor Jitender too visited the hospital where Junior Mahmood is admitted and met him personally to boost his morale holding his hand and blessing him praying for his early recovery.
While meeting and interacting with Junior Mehmood , veteran actor Jeetendra literally wept in anguish with tears rolling down his eyes. The popular comic actor Johnny Lever was also with him.
Junior Mahmood whose real name is Nayeem Sayyed heaved a great sigh of relief seeing the veteran actor Jitender with whom he had worked in several movies.
The first actor to visit the hospital few days ago was Johnny Lever who boosted the morale of the ailing actor wishing him early recovery.
The video of Johnny Lever talking to Junior Mehmood was posted in social media which went viral. Thereafter, Master Raju, the ailing actor’s childhood friend and co actor visited the hospital and boosted his morale, terribly shocked with tears in his eyes.
