Significant news has emerged from the Madhyagram area of the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Chandra, a personal assistant (PA) of BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, who was considered close to him, was shot dead by unknown assailants.
The incident reportedly occurred late in the evening when Chandra was present in his area.
Then the attackers suddenly opened fire on him. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The murder has created an atmosphere of tension in the entire area. Police have arrived at the scene and are investigating, and CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined to identify the attackers.
The attackers hit him by bullet from the point blank range on the head, chest and his leg with the deceased succumbing to injuries.
Since the deceased is said to be related to a prominent political leader, the possibility of political rivalry in this murder is not being ruled out. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed any motive.
According to local police officials, “The matter is being investigated seriously. The accused will be identified and arrested soon.”
This incident has once again raised questions about law and order in the state.
