Tributes paid eminent music composer of Bollywood iconic RD Burman by Harmony at Kamani Auditorium

A grand and glittering evening of Bollywood songs to which the legendary musician R.D.Burman , a heartthrob of millions then and even now accorded his mesmerising music was held in Kamani Auditorium by “Harmony” to pay singing tributes to this great musician of his times who made outstanding record of giving music to thousands of songs and over 292  Hindi, 31 Bengali, 3 Telugu, 2 each in Tamil and Oriya, and 1 Marathi films. The event was organised and conceptualised by a prominent singer Ramesh Nautiyal who had the privilege of being in close proximity to R.D.Burmsn in Mumbai during his times of depression. He learnt a lot from iconic musician Burman Sahab and was truly blessed by this legendary Bollywood music composer. This Grand evening of multiple Bollywood songs majorly sung by eminent singer Kishore Kumar of the first star of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna were sung in this brilliant evening by Ramesh Nautiyal and other singers coming from different states of the country duly enjoyed by a jam-packed auditorium of music lovers from Delhi and NCR – even dancing to the times of the mesmerising voices and music of music composer Mr. Satish Popli a renowned musician and his well studded team.

Apart from Ramesh Nautiyal those who added grace and colour to the event by their melodious voice were male and female singers viz – Mani Raja from Kochi, Kerala, Nidhi, Ankita, Pratishtha, Anuja, Shubhra, Sanjiv, Dhanpat, and some of the the songs sung were Hum kisi se Kam Nahi, ye ladkahai Alla ….,Chala Jata hun ..hathi mere sathi, Kehdun tumhe…,Hum dono do premi., EK mai aur EK tu…, SAPNA Mera Toot Gaya…, AAP na Gale lagalo na …, Sach mere yaar Hai bas yahi pyar Hai, Mausam : Tere bina Zindagi mein Shikwa to Nahi, Tum is Kadar bhi itra ke chaliya… Huzoor is tarah bhi na ittra ke chaliye
He Ab to Aaja, Monica oh my darling …piya tu ab to aa jaa…, Sona re sona re…
Hare Rama Hare Krishna …. etc etc.

The event was presented to pay tributes to the eminent musician R.D.Burman held every year in New Delhi bringing to the fore the leading singers and musicians by giving them good opportunity to perform themselves among the impressive audience.

Prominent among those present were K.C.Pandey, G.S.Rawat, Ramesh Sharma, Virendra Suyal, Narendra Ladwal- all leading entrepreneurs bof Uttarakhand in Delhi and dedicated to social causes , Mani Dhaundiyal of Sylvan chef, Mr.Tripathi, formerly chairman of GAIL, Sunil Negi, editor, UKnationnews, Director Press Club of India Ajay Bisht, President Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha, and several other distinguished personalities.
