Though Uttarakhand turns 21, the dream of AYUSH doctors to get DACP in AYUSH state is still hanging in balance

On the one hand, while Uttarakhand has been formed 21 years ago on 9 th November 2000 and the state establishment week is being celebrated by the Uttarakhand government with quite a pomp to commemorate the 21 foundation anniversary, on the other hand, after the formation of Uttarakhand state in AYUSH state, even after 21 years, there is great disappointment among AYUSH doctors due to non-implementation of DACP for AYUSH doctors, with their dream still hanging in balance like a pendulum.

State media in-charge of Government Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Services Association Uttarakhand (Registered) Dr. DC Pasbola told UKnationnews that while DACP and SDACP are applicable for being decorated in equanimity with allopathic doctors in AYUSH state, the AYUSH doctors of the state are constantly being deprived of getting DACP. Dr. Pasbola questioned is this neglect exhibits the discriminatory attitude towards AYUSH doctors by the government in the state of AYUSH. This kind of step-motherly behavior of the State Government with the AYUSH doctors in AYUSH state is very unfortunate said Dr. Pasbola.

Adding that some time ago a meeting of the provincial and district level officers of the union was also organized at Drona Hotel unanimously arriving at a conclusion that if the matter of DACP of AYUSH doctors is not brought to the cabinet soon and the mandate of DACP is not issued before the code of conduct comes into force, then AYUSH doctors will go for a state-wide movement, the entire responsibility for which will be solely of the state government.

The provincial president of the association, Dr. K. S. Napalchyal, General Secretary Dr. Hardev Rawat, Dr. Ajay Chamola have also expressed their displeasure over the neglectful attitude of the state government said Dr. Pasbola.
