CM Dhami Participates in ‘Uttarakhand – Development, Challenges and Road to 2027’ Programmer
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in a programme on the theme ‘Uttarakhand – Development, Challenges and the Road to 2027’ organized by Adda Insider newspaper at a hotel on Rajpur Road.
The Chief Minister said that in public life, his party’s principle has been ‘Nation First, Organization Second and Individual Third’. He said that the people of Uttarakhand want stability and development. The state government is working with full commitment for the overall development of the state and works related to public interest are being taken forward on priority.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. After becoming Prime Minister, he has visited Uttarakhand 28 times so far. He said that the Prime Minister has given new priority to the development of border areas. By reaching Mana, the Prime Minister described the border villages not as the last but as the ‘first village’ of the country, which has strengthened a new thinking and approach towards the development of border areas.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is progressing rapidly in various fields. Uttarakhand has secured first position in the country in the NITI Aayog’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index. The state has received various awards at the national level in the field of tourism. Uttarakhand is today also making its distinct identity as a film shooting, adventure tourism and wedding destination. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. The youth power of the country will play an important role in realizing this resolve. The state government is continuously working in the direction of providing better education, skills, employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth.
The Chief Minister said that he especially likes to go among the youth and interact with them. He tries to go among the youth not as a Chief Minister, but as a friend. During interaction with the youth, he gets an opportunity to know their new ideas, aspirations and energy and he himself also gets new energy from it.
The Chief Minister said that a strict anti-copying law has been implemented to ensure transparency in government recruitments in the state. As a result, the faith of hardworking and deserving youth in the recruitment system has strengthened. He said that in the last about five years, about 35 thousand youth have been provided appointments in government services in the state.
The Chief Minister said that along with maintaining the original form of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, continuous action is also being taken to free government land from encroachment. In the state, more than 13 thousand acres of government land has been freed from encroachment so far.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is today passing through a new phase of development.
The state government’s effort is that the benefits of development reach the person standing at the last end of the society and the youth of the state get maximum opportunities to progress according to their talent and capability. In line with the Prime Minister’s resolve of developed India, the government is continuously working to make Uttarakhand a developed and empowered state.
