Firing at Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu – Actor Escapes Unhurt, Driver Injured, Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility
Mumbai:
Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after three motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at him in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, 18 October, sensitising the entire film industry and security agencies.
According to Mumbai Police, the incident took place around 7 PM near Pushpa Park under Juhu Police Station limits when Shroff was leaving after playing football. A crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of him.
As per preliminary reports, three men on a motorcycle arrived and opened 3 to 4 rounds at his car. The bullets missed Shroff, but his driver Firdous sustained a gunshot injury on his hand, while another staffer Umesh Chavan and an autorickshaw driver were also injured. Both injured have been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Juhu and are out of danger.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that two people were injured and Shroff did not suffer any bullet injury. Father Jackie Shroff confirmed his son is safe and assisting officials at the police station.
Teams from Juhu police station, Crime Branch and nearby police stations rushed to the spot. Fifteen police teams have been formed, forensic teams are scanning the spot and examining CCTV footage to identify the assailants and trace their movements.
Soon after the firing, a social media post purportedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang, by gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility. The post said, “We had called him and tried to explain things to him, but he did not understand. So today, we made sure to explain it to him properly.” It also threatened members of the film industry who work with actor Salman Khan: “Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who does not listen to us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Wait and watch.”
Mumbai Police is yet to verify the authenticity of the post or establish any link between the attack and the gang.
The firing has sent shockwaves across Bollywood, coming months after firing outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in February 2026, also claimed by the Bishnoi gang.
