ASP Kotdwar transferred to Narendra Nagar police training college after he violated protocol on CM’s Kotdwar visit

The visit of Uttarakhand chief minister at Kotdwar natural calamity hit township a few days ago cost a senior police officer when he was found talking over mobile phone in front of chief minister than looking attentive breaking the protocol while the CM and the senior officers noticed the lapse. The officer of the rank of ASP namely SHEKHAR SUYAL was transferred to Narendra Nagar Police training college usually considered to be a punishment posting though police sources say that it is a routine transfer. According to the news few days ago the chief minister has reached Kotdwar in a chopper to visit the natural calamity hit areas where due to cloud burst and torrential rains flash floods resulted in tremendous loss like two bridges falling down and excessive water with much entering houses including few deaths and all the rivulets, drains overflowing with some house also developing wide cracks etc. When the chopper of the chief minister landed at Kotdwar and CM deported the chopper an ASP on duty at the helipad instead of paying attention to the CM saluted him while talking in mobile and continuing it thereafter as well this violating the protocol. The chief minister must have taken a serious note of it and after few days he was transferred to Police training college Narendra Nagar usually considered to be a punishment transfer though police officers are denying it terming to be a routine transfer. However, according to news this lapse was noticed after the newsmen reported this lapse in news channels and papers with videos and photos published with CM looking at the ASP while he is busy on mobile. The media hype compelled the police to take action for violating the protocol by the ASP reveal sources.
