His memories and histrionics as the first and original superstar, literally ruling the Indian film industry for several decades giving 15 super duper hits in a row from 1969 to 1972 n thereafter as well are still fresh in everyone’s mind.

On 29 th December was his 79 th birth anniversary celebrated in various nooks and corners of the country, with his one of the ardent fans n just like younger brother Vipin Oberoi and me, being his then media advisor celebrating n paying our floral tributes at “The Treat”, in Chanakyapuri New Delhi where several of his true fans gave the unparalleled super star the singing tributes, remembering his outstanding histrionics in several of his super hit movies originally sung by now other than legendary superstar singer Kishore Kumar.

Despite the meeting of prime minister Narendra Modi nearby in an official function though the tight security didn’t allow the organisers to distribute free meals to hundreds of poor and hapless n distribution of blankets due to genuine, security reasons, it was after the PM’s meeting in the evening that ended at the nearby venue, the singing tributes were paid to first n original superstar after cutting of the cake n distribution of blankets to the poor.

On the other hand Twinkle Khanna, daughter of the first n original superstar Rajesh Khanna, whom Kaka loved the most n is a columnist and actor as well, remembered her iconic father by paying her tributes in Instagram, posting her pics of childhood with Kaka.

Meanwhile, the super star heroine of Kaka, who was the most popular heroine in about 15 movies back to back during sixties n seventies, most of them super duper hits, like Aap ki Kasam, Roti, Prem Kahani, Apna Desh, Jai Jai Shiv Shankar, Do Raste, Dushman etc Mumtaz, who is in Mumbai these days having returned from London after a long spell remembered Kaka as one of her best hero who used call her Moti ( fat woman) in a humorous mood affectionately.

Remembering her golden days with Kaka in one of the interviews, a popular heroine of the seventies and a lovable silver screen pair with legendary super star Kaka made a startling revelation that the superstar Rajesh Khanna used to literally sulk going in a corner when I accepted the offer for working in other films with other heroes, getting upset.

Our bond as friends n co stars was so strong that Kaka used to get terribly upset on my signing films with other heroes said Mumtaz in a interview with First Post.

In her earlier interview she had said that during the shooting of “Aap Ki Kasam”, in Kashmir, since my weight was much, Kaka used to literally lift me on his shoulders saying “Moti Aa Jaa”, and run for few meters on snow in Kashmir, giving several shots, till it finally become OK.

His shoulders paining and the star panting while running on snow lifting me fir several hours till the shot finally became OK makes me laugh at times said Mumtaz.

Memorising her super hit songs in which she acted with Kaka, Mumtaz said Yes Kaka and I shot many hit songs in our films. My favourites were Bindiya Chamkegi in Do Raaste, “Duniya mein logon ko”, in Apna Desh, n Jai Jai Shiv Shankar in Apna Desh.

Remembering Kakaji as her best hero, Mumtaz said to First Post that he was my favourite , no doubt and I was his favourite by all means.

With Rajesh Khanna as a heroine I didn’t had to do much with him as the movies were more Kaka centric. I did several films with him before leaving the Bollywood but remember that I did last three movies with him and liked the film most which had the song : Duniya mein Logon Ko, Dhokha kabhi ho jata hai, APNA DESH.

Elaborating about the film “Aap Ki Kasam”, that hit the box office Mumtaz said we had too much of arguments with its producer, director J Om Prakash apprehensive that the film won’t succeed but fortunately it was a super duper hit said Mumtaz.

The movie has a very controversial subject where the wife leaves the suspicious husband while being pregnant.

On being asked about Rajesh Khanna being moody and temperamental she responded that Kaka was always good with her except getting annoyed when I signed films with other heroes usually going in a corner and sulking, obviously exhibiting his obsession with me, explained Kaka’s best co star Mumtaz.
