UTTARAKHAND CONGRESS CHIEF KARAN MAHARA URGES UK CONGRESS LEADERS TO CRITICIZE BJP NOT ITS OWN LEADERS

As the general elections are nearing especially after the shameful defeat of Congress party in three states Chattisgarh, MP and, Rajasthan including defeat in the Northeastern state Mizoram as well the Congress high command has started revitalisation exercise of its organisation in various states instructing the state office bearers to unify the organisation for getting their petty and large differences of they really want to counter the charismatic juggernaut not prime minister Narendra Modi.

The former prime minister Indira Gandhi had once said several decades ago that Congress is never defeated by the opposition but by their own men due to massive internal wranglings. In Uttarakhand the state Congress chief Karan Mahara who is running the organisation with immense dexterity despite the Congress immensely faction ridden has while addressing a district level convention at Almora yesterday categorically repeated the former PM’s words coming down heavily on Congress MLAs leaders and workers that the top guns of Congress in Uttarakhand extremely active on ground smd social media have never used these forums to accuse or blame the BJP leaders and the sitting MP of Almora Ajay Tamta for his incompetence but raised their voice against their own leaders and parties this giving a clear cut impression in the public about the party being in wriggle and faction ridden.

The Uttarakhand Congress president Karan Mehta was in tremendous anger and furious leaving no stone unturned to blame the Congress leaders of Uttarakhand, Almora and its rank and file for training their guns and canons of criticism against their own leaders like Harish Rawat and, Pradeep Tamata who were defeated hands down several times.

The Congress, state chief with folded hands in a ridiculing fashion urged partymen and leaders including the rank and file to forget their differences at least this time and instead of training their guns, cannons against Congress and its leaders divert them towards BJP and the sitting MP of Almora, Ajay Tamata who was never criticised by the Congress leaders and workers despite using the social media, against their own leaders said Karan Mahara.

Prior to Karan Mahara the sitting MLA, Mayuk Mahar was extremely critical of the former MP Pradeep Tamata, Harish Rawat protege for always being consisted by High Command. Sitting MLA Mayuk Mahar appealed to the Congress chief to break the tradition of allotting tickets to senior or old party veterans forgetting the young bloods or leaders with lesser age than them.

While taunting on Karan Mahara for coming in Almora after 1.5 years and that too when elections are round the corner, annoyed Mayuk Mahar in clear words said that this, time the party ticket for the parliament seat should be given to energetic pro people leaders than those who had earlier represented this, seat and also lost, an indication towards former MP Pradeep Tamta, who had been to Rajya Sabha and also elected MP once. Pradeep Tamta was very much present on the occasion hearing his criticism by his party’s own sitting MLA.

However, Karan Mahara took his side and said that today the need is to criticize the sitting BJP MP Ajay Tamata, than Pradeep Tamata, former MP who is no where in the scene.

Those present on the occasion were former minister and leader of opposition Yashpal Arya, Former MP Pradeep Tamta, former Uttarakhand speaker Govind, Singh Kunjwal, sitting MLA Mayuk Mahar, several MLAs and leaders.

The meeting called for unification of various faction witnessed its own state president accepting in public that the party is badly faction ridden and its leaders instead of criticising the BJP are busy training their guns against its own leaders unambiguously giving an impression about party in absolute mess.

What is important to note here that the former CM Harish Rawat, another leader and 8 time MLA from Chakrata Pritam Singh, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, former state chief Ganesh Godiyal, Tilak Raj Behad etc were conspicuous by their absence.

It remains to be seen as to what positive results does the efforts of Karan Mahara accompany in the near future and whether the Uttarakhand Congress be able to unite and wrest maximum parliamentary seats from the clutches of BJP which has MPs in all the five parliamentary seats.
