Tragedy struck Kasni village after Nishant Dhankhar, who had been selected as an officer in the Army, lost his life during training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
Nishant had reached IMA on July 10 for his training. On August 9, while on a run during training, his health suddenly deteriorated. His condition was reported to be critical. Along with two other cadets, he was rushed to the Army RR Hospital in Delhi for treatment.
Doctors were monitoring him closely, but on Saturday evening Nishant lost the battle for life.
The news of his martyrdom left his family and the entire village in shock the moment it reached them. Everyone was stunned.
Nishant had cleared selection to join the Army as an officer and was full of dreams for the nation. His untimely death during training has left a deep void in his family and in Kasni village.
Villagers and relatives gathered to pay tribute, remembering him as a disciplined and determined young man who wanted to serve the country in uniform.
