Veteran actor Bharat Kapoor dies at the age of 80 in Mumbai

The veteran actor, Chandrakanta fame Bharat Kapoor who had acted in several Bollywood movies and in Television serials in character roles has died at the age of eighty in Mumbai due to age related complications. The veteran actor has acted in over thirty films, though not very popular but an actor who matters in certain movies very much.

Some of the Bollywood movies he acted in were : Gupt Gyan, Rahees Jaidaa, Balidaan, Jawani ka Gunah, Bhayanak, Bazaar, Barsaat ki Raat, Aapas ki Baat, Noorie, Paap Ki Andhi, In India Today, Akhiri Raasta, Pyasee Nigahen, Ganga Maange Khoon, Pyar Ki Jeet, Modh, Sone Pe Suhaagan,Isee ka Naam Zindagi, Inkaar, Kanoon, Lastsaab, Sikka, Mohabbat aur jung, Haste Zakhm, Satyamev Jayate, Himmatvaar, Jai Kaali, Sahibaan, Ilaaja, Bekhabar, Besahara, Barsaat, Jaaneman , Painter Babu, Kurbaan Fauji, King Uncle etc . The actor and his dear friend Avtar Gill confirmed the news about the death of Bharat Kapoor.

Gill said, “I just returned from the crematorium. His son called me and told me that Bharat Kapoor had been unwell for the past three days. He had been at home. He had been hospitalized before.”

He added, “Very few people attended the funeral, including close relatives and members of our theater group IPTA. Rakesh Bedi, director Ramesh Kumar, actor Kuldeep Singh, and a few others from our theater group were present. His prayer meeting will be held at his home on April 30th from 5 to 7 p.m.”

The last rites of the film and tekivisionnactir actor Bharat Kapoor were performed today at the crematorium near Sion Hospital. The chautha ceremony will be held on 30th April from 5 to 7 at North Bombay Association (Punjab Association), Bhau Daji Marg, near Sion Hospital
