Jila Panchayat seat held by Shailesh Joshi of BJP revoked by Champawat district judge holding him responsible for theft of 146 votes illegally

The election to the Bhandarpura Zila Panchayat seat has been revoked by the Champawat district judge of Uttarakhand on the chsrtesbif vote theft of 146 votes finally priced in the court and judge convinced that the election of the BJP candidate from this Panchayati seat has been manipulated by the theftbif 146 votes illegally. According to the latest news the case was filed by Kamal Singh Rawat who is currently in jail in connection with a case of raie of an adolescent in Champawat. The case was filed against the BJP’s Shailesh Joshi who had manipulated 146 votes and win the election illagaly in the elections of Punchayat.
It may be recalled that total 6719 votes were polled as per the Electoral officers. Correspondingly, a total of 6,719 votes were cast in the above election.
Appendix 7, which prints the vote counts for all 25 booths, shows that:
48 + 3,282 + 3,111 + 278 = 6,719 Dislikes
While Appendix 8 shows that the total votes are 6,865.
48 + 3,282 + 3,257 + 278 = 6,865
This suggests that 146 votes are irregular. If the total votes cast were 100, including invalid votes, the count would be 6,865 votes. No reason has been shown for this and during the debate, the parties have taken the stand that there is a difference in the number of votes in Appendix-7 and Group-8.
If 146 votes out of the votes cast in favour of the petitioner were invalid, then Appendix-04
8AUAP4APAA is struck off.
Giving the judgement the Champawat district judge has catagorically turned downed the election as illegal saying that 146 more votes were polled and elections clearly won by practising illegal means clearly exhibiting that vote theft have been committed to win this election. After this judgment the ruling BJP has come into focus once again in vote theft case giving a handle to opposition Congrsss to exploit the situation in their favour politically.
