The office bearers and members of United Kingdom, Uttarakhand Welfare Association are celebrating the colourful Holi with gaiety and fervour by organising cultural evening of Uttarakhand’s folk dances and mesmerising songs on 20th March, at Blue Room, Mumbai Garden, Harrow, England.
This significant Holi Milan event is being organised after challenging Covid 19 times to exchange pleasantries enabling a harmonic and interactive get together among the Uttarakhandies living in UK.
The eminent actors of Bollywood viz Hemant Pandey and Himani Shivpuri, hailing from Uttarakhand and legendary singer Narendra Singh Negi have extended their good wishes to the organisers and people living in UK on Holi. The UK based Uttarakhand Welfare Association which is organising the impressive event titled Holi Milan at Harrow, Mumbai House on 20th March has been organising such events and engaged in unifying the Uttarakhandies in United Kingdom since the last decade.
It has been highly contributive to various noble causes of Uttarakhand may it be extending all possible help and support during the tragic ecological disaster of 2013 Kedarnath flash floods. During the challenging n critical Covid times also the association has extended its hand of support to the needy Uttarakhandies. The association is credited for extending financial help and support to the affected Uttarakhand families during Covid times as well, including the police and National Health Services in UK etc.
It also delivered oxygen cylinders to the affected families n Covid 19 patients living in distant villages of Uttarakhand.
One feels proud for the office bearers and members of UK Uttarakhand Welfare Association Limited who had been extremely successful in uniting Uttarakhandies living in various parts of United Kingdom keeping intact and alive the culture, traditions and linguistic integrity of Uttarakhand by way of its positive actions in the service to our society.
