Free electricity up to 200 units and water up to 2000 litres every month to continue till 2025 in NCT of Delhi
The Delhi government has formally taken a decision to continue giving free electricity up to 200 units every month and free water to Delhites upto 20000 litres till 2024-25.
The cabinet committee of Delhi government has taken the decision in unanimity in this regard.
Announcing this, the Delhi minister Aatishee Bharadwaj has said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival always fulfils his every promises given to Delhi electorates , come what may.
The Delhites will continue to get free electricity and water till 2025.
Meanwhile Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejrival also congratulated the Delhi citizens for continuing the concessions of water and electricity scheme in Delhi till 2025 writing on the social media platform X in Hindi as below :
I congratulate the people of Delhi very much. Your 24 hours electricity (zero power cut) and free electricity has been extended till 31st March 2025.
This also includes free electricity for the lawyers’ chambers.
Many people had doubts about electricity subsidy – will they get it next year or not? Let me tell you that these people tried their best to stop it. But your son got this work done also. For your information, let me tell you that 24 hours electricity and free electricity is available only in Delhi and Punjab.
In the rest of the country, there are long power cuts and electricity bills worth thousands of rupees have to be paid. Because there is a government of honest and educated people in Delhi wrote Delhi CM on X.
Few days ago the Delhi government made a provision of Rs 76000 crores in Delhi budget announcing that every women in Delhi above 18 years who is unemployed and not getting pension and not paying income tax would get Rs 1000 every month.
Kejrival had said that empowering women financially is the need of the hour as old and unemployed women are usually dependent on the family members living hand to mouth and this financial help of Rs.1000 every month would be of great help to them to buy medicines and fulfill their petty needs as just making hollow promises regarding empowering women are nothing but rhetorics as it the financial help that matters not hollow slogans said Arvind Kejrival.
