Four dead and four grievously injured in an accident when a vehicle carrying CHOLIA Dancers fell in a gorge at Chamali Pithoragarh

Fatal accidents in Uttarakhand have become the order of the day and there seems to be no reprieve from the transport, traffic and other concerned departments of the state government. On every alternate days on average there is a fatal accident claiming several lives with no solution in sight to lessen these increasing fatal accidents. Just at midnight at 3.30 AM on 22 nd April at Pithoragarh a fatal accident occured in which four persons have reportedly died and several injured. According to a latest news a vehicle full of CHOLIA FOLK DANCERS fell down in a deep gorge in Pithoragarh district’s Pithoragarh Tehsil in Chamali area early morning killing four persons on the spot and seriously injuring four. Those who died in this accident are 48 years old Kailash Ram, 37 year old Angad Ram, 43 year old Pawan Ram, and the 38 year old driver Ajay Ram. They were all CHOLIA folk dancers who were reaching back home at Chamali late night at 3.30 AM probably from a function but unfortunately the vehicle they were travelling in fell down near Andali in a deep gorge taking several acrobatics smashing against rocks n trees killing four instantly and grievously injuring four others namely Chamoli resident 49 year old Jagdish, 19 year old Himanshu, 18 year old Pryanshu and 42 year old Rajendra who were admitted to the district government hospital.
