New Delhi :10th July 2026 was etched as yet another celestial chapter in the history of the Kriya Yoga tradition and of human consciousness as a whole, when the 69th birth anniversary of the revered Yogiraj Shailendra Sharma ji, along with the grand and divine release of his sacred biography _“Shailendra: The Life Story of a Cremation-Ground Dweller”_, was celebrated at the “Siddha Siddhant Yoga Academy” campus, Ganga Bagh Kothi, 10 Beesa, Govardhan, District Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
The author of this timeless biography is Shubhra Pathak Sharma, who has accomplished the sacred and noble task of putting into words a personality and life-work that will endure for ages.
Yogiraj Shailendra Sharma is an exceptionally powerful and unique signature of the Kriya Yoga tradition. He is recognized as the Fifth Guru in the authentic Guru-Disciple lineage of the immortal Guru Mahavatar Babaji. His life and teachings present Kriya Yoga to the modern age in its most profound and scientific form.
It is noteworthy that the birth-anniversary and book-release ceremony was held at the Panch Tirth Kund, located within what is considered the most beautiful and divine historic complex on planet Earth. It was here in the Dwapara Yuga that Lord Shri Krishna himself performed the final rites of his queens; it was here that Shri Krishna’s childhood friend Uddhava delivered the discourse of the Bhagavata Katha. The stage for the ceremony was set on the banks of Panch Tirth Kund — where the Avadhut form of Adinath Shivshankar is self-manifested; where Adi Shakti resides; where Mahavatar Babaji Maharaj has his eternal abode; where the radiant, awakened form of Pawan Putra Hanuman ji is established; and where the divine sports of Bhairav ji’s many powers take place every day.
The program was conducted by singer, writer and actor Shri Geet Sagar. Guru ji’s senior disciple Vijayanand Narwariya and the book’s author Shubhra Pathak addressed the gathering.
On this occasion, Yogiraj said in his address: _“The author Shubhra is my niece. Having lived with me since the age of seven, she has closely understood and witnessed the events of my life, and today she has written this book. The stories, experiences and incidents described in the book are accompanied by a yogic analysis, which will assist seekers of truth in their quest…”_
The program commenced in its full divinity and grandeur — with Gurudev taking his seat on the dais, the flow of melodious musical notes, the lighting of colorful lights and fireworks, the entire campus glowing, and it concluded in a wonderful manner with Gurudev’s blessings.
It is worth mentioning that the life of Yogiraj, a resident of Govardhan Dham, is itself like a living Upanishad. Through this life-story, future generations and truth-seekers across the world will be able to become acquainted with the deep mysteries of Kriya Yoga, his transcendental experiences, and that highest peak of Truth where he himself abides.
