BJP gives 9 tickets to candidates from Uttarakhand living in Delhi in MCD elections with 5 women n 4 men in the list !
The Delhi municipal elections are due for 4 December 2022 to elect 250 councillors. The counting will be on 7 th December. These will the first municipal elections after the unification of MCD which was bifurcated during the tenure of Congress chief minister late Smt Sheila Dikshit. The list of BJP has been released today. This time the party has tried to oblige Uttarakhandies in Delhi giving tickets to 9 candidates of Uttarakhandi background namely Ravi Negi from Vinod Nagar, Beer Singh Panwar from Dilshad Garden, Mrs Nima Bhagat from Geeta Colony , Mrs Tulsi Joshi from R. K. Puram, Mrs Neetu Bisht from Sadatpur, West, Narendra Manral from Aman Vihar, Yashpal Kaintura from Pandav Nagar, Rekha Rawat from Sant Nagar, and Monika Pant from Anand Vihar. Five women from Uttarakhand living in Delhi associated with the saffron party were accorded tickets while four men were obliged. What is pertinent here to mention that while BJP has allotted 9 tickets to the Uttarakhand community in Delhi, the ruling AAM Admi Party in Delhi which has formed the GARHWALI, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy and talks so much for the welfare and wellbeing of Uttarakhandies in NCT has not given any Uttarakhandi a single ticket in its first list of 132 candidates.
